The Red Sox
The Red Sox had a great season, finishing first in the AL East with a record of 96-66. Which was tied for the best record in baseball. With sluggers David Ortiz, Manny Ramirez and Mike Lowell, the offense produced massive numbers. The pitching staff lead by Josh Beckett (20 wins) was among the best in the entire league and rookies Jacoby Ellsbury, and Dustin Pedroia far exceeded expectations. The comeback against Cleveland and the sweep of the Rockies in the playoffs puts the season in prospective as one of the best the Sox have ever had.

Hey Sam,
Your blog is very eye catching and organized...great job.
I love the Red Sox. When I was little I couldn't understand why my parents always had a game on our only black and white tv (Just kidding..we did have color - but only one shared tv) I hated to not be able to watch Donnie and Marie... cause I was a little bit rock and roll...smile...only Laurie would probably get that joke...anyway.. now cannot get enough of the games.. let's hope Mike Lowell signs with them again!
Love the Pats too.. not such a big Celtics fan.. Lori
